Nassau, Bahamas: Everything We Did at Atlantis Paradise Island

+ add cover photo

We stayed at Atlantis on Paradise Island for our Nassau trip, and honestly, there was so much to do we barely needed to leave the resort. Between the water park, the beaches, and the marine life, plus everything we found once we did venture out, this one's packed.

where we stayed

Atlantis Paradise Island

Atlantis Paradise Island

An entire vacation built into one resort. Between the water park, the beaches, the marine habitats, and the restaurants and bars at Marina Village, you could genuinely spend the whole trip without leaving property, and we almost did.

on-resort activities

Aquaventure Waterpark

Aquaventure Waterpark

Full day easily. Slides, lazy rivers, and enough to keep you occupied from morning to sunset without getting bored once.

The beaches at Atlantis

The Beaches

Some of the most beautiful beaches we've ever stayed on. Clear water, soft sand, exactly what you picture when you think Bahamas.

Sunrise dolphin swim

Sunrise Dolphin Swim

Got in the water with the dolphins early in the morning before the resort woke up, such a fun experience. Calm, quiet, and easily one of the highlights of the whole trip.

The Aquarium at Atlantis

The Aquarium

A whole underwater world built right into the resort, sharks, rays, and every kind of sea creature you can imagine up close. We could've spent hours just wandering through it.

Jet Skis

Rented jet skis right off the resort and spent an afternoon out on the water, easy to book and a great way to see the coastline.

off the resort

Feeding the pigs at Pig Beach

Feeding the Pigs at Pig Beach

A boat ride out to swim with and feed the famous swimming pigs, rum punch in hand the whole way there. Equal parts ridiculous and unforgettable, a must if you've never done it.

Exploring downtown Nassau

Exploring the City of Nassau

Left the resort for a day to walk around downtown Nassau, colorful buildings, local shops, and a completely different pace than the resort.

where we ate

The Rum Cake Factory

The Rum Cake Factory

If you've got a sweet tooth, you can't come to Nassau without stopping here. The rum cake is a genuine must-try, not just a tourist thing.

Poop Deck restaurant

Poop Deck

Don't let the name fool you, this is a beautiful, tasty waterfront restaurant with fresh seafood and a great outdoor setting right on the water.

Frost brunch

Frost

Our brunch spot for the trip, good food and a solid way to start the day before heading back out to the resort.

Carmine's

The perfect dinner spot when you want something reliably good, we kept coming back all trip.

Marina Village at Atlantis

Marina Village at Atlantis

Right outside the resort, Marina Village is packed with great restaurants and bars, worth wandering through for a change of scenery without ever really leaving Atlantis.

Between the resort, the pigs, and everything in between, Nassau more than earned its spot on our list. We're already talking about when we're going back.
