If you've been thinking about taking a trip to Arizona, this is your sign! Our recent trip to Phoenix & Scottsdale left us in awe of how beautiful & fun these cities were.
As soon as we arrived in Phoenix, we spent the first nights at Hotel Adeline, a stylish and urban hotel that's located in downtown Scottsdale. This hotel embodied Scottsdale's fun and artsy atmosphere perfectly! (We loved their WTF - Where's The Fun sign at the front of the hotel!). Throughout our stay, we enjoyed every aspect of the hotel, from their vibrant yet comfy rooms to their 3,000 square ft. pool that offers a beautiful view of the Camelback Mountain. The atmosphere was very relaxed during our weekday stay, but if you want more of a lively experience, we would recommend staying on the weekends as they're known to host the best pool parties featuring the hottest DJs during the summer. Additionally, this hotel has an amazing restaurant, an indoor and poolside bar, as well as a whiskey speakeasy bar! (The password to the bar changes often). We also got the opportunity to enjoy breakfast at their restaurant, Selfmade, and preview their new menu items. The breakfast was amazing as the French Toast and thick sliced bacon were our favorites! You can also dine at this restaurant during lunch and dinner and huge shoutout to their chef who takes pride in what he does. Our overall experience at Hotel Adeline was amazing and we'll definitely be back!
Our second hotel stay was at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa,a resort-style hotel that's located in the heart of Scottsdale. We loved the hotel's clean and contemporary style and how its conveniently located near many restaurants and attractions, such as the Scottsdale Quarter.
This family-friendly hotel offers many amenities such as their adventure water park that consists of an 110-foot waterslide, the longest lazy river in Arizona, and a surfing stimulator, as well as their relaxing and rejuvenating Agave Spa. They also offer two pools, an indoor and outdoor bar, a fitness studio, and a golf club on site. In addition to their luxurious accommodations, our room was very spacious & modern with a beautiful view of their award-winning golf course. They also have many dining options that are available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We enjoyed breakfast and watched the sunrise over the golf course at Nellie Cashman's Monday Club Café. Everything here was delicious, especially the blueberry pancakes and their fresh juices and smoothies. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in Scottsdale!
When we weren't relaxing at our hotels, we had so much fun during our trip that we didn't want to leave! From kayaking along the Salt River at Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch to exploring the immersive art exhibits at Wonderspaces Arizona, there really isn't anything you can't do! In addition to their many activities, they're also home to many amazing restaurants. The food scene here is unmatched and every restaurant prides itself on both quality & presentation. Sake Haus' sushi was the best we've ever tasted & Hash Kitchen's brunch was out of this world! Whether you're visiting for the first or the tenth time, Phoenix has plenty to offer and the friendly people and warm weather will make you want to come back again and again! So go ahead, book your flight and get ready to Visit Phoenix!
